The season of 2011-2012 is upon us and has brought about many positive changes!
On the board for this year is a change to the O’Cademy Camps and Lessons. For all of the High School and AAU teams, all proceeds of training and speaking engagements will be donated to Basketball as a Mission (BAAM), which strives to enrich the lives of underprivileged children by igniting a passion for basketball and merging cultures through the love of the game.
This is an incredible organization that has truly impacted my life and the lives of many needy children! It is a fantastic way to give back to those don’t have access to the comfy lifestyles most of us live. Opportunities to play basketball and all of the things that go with it (fancy sneakers, going to a nice indoor gym, fully inflated basketballs, mom and dad to cheer you on, etc) does not apply to the children that BAAM aim to impact.
